Here it is! The shortest day of the year at the exact shortest moment. This photo is taken outside my house at 1pm on December 21st, the time the day has the shortest amount of daylight of the year. From today at 1pm, the days are starting to have more and more daylight. Hurray for that! :)

Førde night time

The moon, 50.000km closer to earth

Here are some photos taken in Førde at 5:30pm. This shows how dark it gets in this part of Norway this time of year. I also read that the moon was 50.000km closter to earth than normal at the exact moment these photos were taken. Pretty cool, eh?

I thought spring was here....but no...

Here's a shot I took on my way in to work today. Yesterday, we had no snow and the grass was green. But when I woke up this morning this is what I saw. Back to king winter! I guess it is pretty with snow, but I kind of feel like summer soon.

Here's a shot from outside my apartment a few days ago. The snow is totally gone and it its still in the middle of February!? Only a month ago the same place was totally covered with snow. While eastern parts of Norway has more snow than its had in years, the west coast is greener than ever. But who knows? In a few days this place might be dumped with lots of snow again. You just never know over here.
