Just three photos from filming on the very western edge of Norway today. Great place for a time-lapse clip. Watch it in tonight's TV story: http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/distrikt/sognogfjordane/verdi/85143
Here are some pictures from my helicopter ride last monday. I was assigned to do aerial filming of the Tall Ships Races 2008 outside the coast of Norway. With the door open, sitting on the floor with my legs outside the helicopter flying at speeds up to 100mph we headed out at sea to film Statsraad Lehmkuhl of Norway and Cisne Branco of Brazil. Here are some pictures from the flight:

At work on Nigardsbreen galcier. Went there to cover a story on a couple of guys balancing across a deep hole in the glacier on a thin red line. Barefoot, these dudes balanced across the line from one side of the hole to the other side. And this on a glacier!! Crazy stuff.
Filming on a glacier might sound fun, but let me tell you it is hard work. As this is a dangerous place to be you have to secure yourself and your gear with ropes at all times. Getting all the good shots for the story was bit more complicated than I first thought. But with good help from the other people that came along on this trip, my reporter and I came out with a pretty good story. You can watch the story here: http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/distrikt/sognogfjordane/verdi/59523
Here's a few pictures from work today. We did a story on avalanche search and rescue and had to go up in the mountains to tape the story. The weather was terrible. Filming during a snow storm was quite challenging and cold, but fun anyways! And I actually ended up with a few shots without snow on the lens. ;-)
Today I went deer hunting! This morning I was assigned to do a story on deer hunting and how farmers are selling the rights to hunt on their property to city folks. We started early in the morning and tracked up on the mountain side for a few hours in search for the deer. The story ended with no deer today but we got to film two other deer they had taken the yesterday. One of them weighting over 120kg. (around 240 pounds)!
